Random 1:1 video chat
The core experience you know from Omegle, OmeTV, Monkey or Chatroulette: press a button, meet someone new face-to-face. Free, in your browser.
A free Omegle alternative that pays you back
Omegle shut down in November 2023, and apps like OmeTV, Monkey and Chatroulette still offer the same thing: random video chat with strangers. RetoTime does that too — free, in your browser, no download — and adds something none of them publish up front: optional gifts and challenges where the Stars you receive can become real earnings, with every price and cash-out rule public before you sign up.
Gifts and challenges
Send virtual gifts, play voluntary consent-based challenges, and receive Stars from people who enjoyed the chat.
Published prices and payout rules
Every Stars bundle, gift fee and cash-out requirement is on the pricing page before you spend anything.
Adults 18+ with safety tools
Verified accounts, report and block during calls, and staff who review reports. No sexual content, harassment or dangerous dares.
How RetoTime compares
- Like Omegle and OmeTV: instant random video chat with strangers, no download.
- Like Monkey: a modern, mobile-first experience — see our detailed RetoTime vs Monkey comparison.
- Unlike all of them: an optional Stars economy with public gift fees and cash-out requirements, so a good conversation can be worth something.
RetoTime is not affiliated with Omegle, OmeTV, Monkey or Chatroulette. Those names belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe the category.
Questions before you join?
Is RetoTime really free?
Signing up and random video chat are free in your browser. Buying Stars and Plus is optional. You need a camera, microphone and an account, and must be 18 or older.
What are Stars?
Stars are used for virtual gifts and challenges. Purchased and free Stars cannot be cashed out. Only the withdrawable portion of Stars you earn can be paid out.
How do I earn from gifts?
When a gift lands, the recipient gets Stars after the platform fee: 20% on purchased or free Stars, 5% on re-gifted earned Stars. Whole Stars are rounded down. Gifts funded with free Stars do not create withdrawable earnings.
How do I cash out?
100 withdrawable Stars = $1 USD. The minimum request is $25.00. Your account must be 14 days old, with a verified email and completed profile and age check. You need 15 calls of at least 30 seconds, 60 total minutes and gifts from 5 different people, with no open safety reviews or active suspension. Choose PayPal, Wise or bank transfer in Wallet. Staff review and pay approved requests manually; no payout time is guaranteed.
Do I have to accept a challenge?
No. You can decline or skip. Custom challenge rewards are reserved when offered and paid only when the creator confirms completion. Declined, canceled or interrupted offers are refunded.
Are calls recorded, and can I report someone?
RetoTime does not record calls. You can report or block someone during a call. Staff can restrict accounts that break the rules. Read the privacy policy and community guidelines for details.
